Philosophy&Rhetoric is an academic journal dedicated to the study of the relationship between philosophy and rhetoric. The journal is committed to publishing high-quality academic achievements related to the connection between philosophy and rhetoric. As a quarterly publication, it includes peer-reviewed articles, selected papers, forums, book reviews, and annual special issues. This magazine provides a platform for researchers in the fields of philosophy and rhetoric to exchange ideas and research results, promoting academic exchange and knowledge development between the two disciplines.
Rhetoric, as a discipline that studies how to effectively communicate and persuade audiences through language, has a long-standing connection with philosophy. In history, the rise and fall of Western rhetoric has been closely related to Western philosophy. The "linguistic turn" of Western philosophy in the early 20th century promoted the revival of rhetoric and the "rhetorical turn" of philosophy, shifting the relationship between the two from opposition to alliance. The Journal of Philosophy and Rhetoric reflects this interdisciplinary research trend, encouraging scholars to explore how philosophical theories influence rhetorical practice, and how rhetorical techniques reflect and shape philosophical ideas.
